Delete your account and data

Why is this here?

Wedgey never asks you to sign up. But when you chat with Wedgey AI, your chats are saved so you can pick up where you left off. To do that, the app quietly makes a private account for you in the background. It has no name, email or password.

If you stop using Wedgey AI, your account and chats are deleted automatically after 12 months with no activity. But if you're done with Wedgey, or you just don't want those chats saved anymore, you can wipe it all now. There are two ways.

Way 1: In the app

1. Open Wedgey.
2. Tap the gear icon to open Settings. It's at the top of Golf 101, at the top of How to Hit, and on the Wedgey AI start screen.
3. Scroll down to "Your data".
4. Tap "Delete my data".
5. Read the message, then tap "Delete".

Wedgey deletes your account on our server first. When that's done, it clears Wedgey's data from your phone and takes you back to the start of the app. If you're offline or something goes wrong, nothing is deleted, and the app asks you to try again.

Way 2: By email

Email privacy@wedgey.app from any address with the subject "Delete my data". Include your account ID so we can find your account:

1. Open Wedgey and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
2. Scroll down to "Your data".
3. Tap "Your account ID" to copy it, then paste it into your email.

No longer have the app? Tell us the first message of one of your chats and about when you sent it instead.

We handle requests within 30 days.

What gets deleted

From our server, either way:

• your anonymous Wedgey AI account,
• all your chats, every message in them, and their titles,
• any replies you reported,
• your daily message counts,
• and your saved time zone and plan type.

From your phone, when you use the app (Way 1):

• your My Game bag and every shot you logged,
• your coach choice and which hand you swing with,
• the saved copy of your chats,
• your answer to the Wedgey AI notice,
• and your sign-in.

If you use email (Way 2), we delete what's on our server. Your My Game shots live only on your phone, so they go away when you delete the app.

A few copies, like backups and logs, clear out on their own over time. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
